In a mixing bowl, place the beef, egg and garlic. With your hands, blend all beef, egg and minced garlic together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Shape into four patties.
Place burgers on a hot grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes on each side until degree of doneness is achieved. Grill buns or bread slices on top rack until lightly toasted. When ready to serve, place each burger n a toasted bun or bread slice. Top with tomato and onion slices and enjoy with salad, chips, beans or other side dishes.
